Ramadan started a few days ago, yay! And if you are fasting, I hope you were able to start this holy month in a happy, peaceful, spiritual way.
The first couple of days, I was out working for over 15 hours a day and I did not come home until midnight. So I had to pick my food efficiently; easy to carry to work, that would give me a lot of energy. And so I got inspired to write this post. I’ll be summing up 3 superfoods that’ll give you the energy you need during Ramadan. These foods are also great for any other day of the year when you need that extra energy!
My top 3 superfoods are Dates, Bananas & Quinoa
This fruit coming from a palm is high in natural sugars. That’s why it’ll give you an immediate burst of energy. Try to eat a lot of dates. You can even put them in your milkshake. It’s a perfect replacement for sugar and tastes delicious in an Avocado Milkshake (quick tip: use peeled dates to avoid shreds of peel in your drink).
I used bananas when I had to ftor (end my day of fasting) while I was still at work. Two bananas gave me an instant feeling of fullness. Fully ripe bananas are even better! Why? Because a banana with brown spots is better for your immune system! 🙂
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’m a huge fan of quinoa. I love it because of the taste and the nutrition the grain provides. This supergrain is also very rich in protein, which means: less hunger!

Have a nice day! 🙂
