A lot of us are guilty of this: caring (way) too much. It stresses us out, weakens ourselves and drifts us away from our goals. While deep inside we know that the secret to a happier life simply lays in caring less. Here’s how to care less and live more:

  1. Stop feeling sorry for yourself

Thoughts create reality and self-pity might be the fastest way to misery. Whatever happens, happens. Thoughts like “I don’t deserve this…”, “Poor me…”, “Life is unfair…”, etc. will only make you feel more miserable. Instead, own whatever crosses your path and make the best out of it.

  1. Stop caring about what other people think

It’s not the people around you that live your life, right? So why would you care about their judgments? If you really want something in life, go for it! Don’t let the negativity of somebody else block your happiness.

  1. Stop caring about perfection

Voltaire once said “Le mieux est l’ennemi du bien.”, which means “Better is the enemy of good.” – this quote is literally life changing. Nothing is perfect, and waiting for the “perfect moment” will just result in nothing at all. So instead of chasing something that doesn’t exists, do the best you can, and celebrate your achievements (how little they might be…).
